Food Trailer - General Manager


Job Summary
Rick’s Barbecue is currently seeking an energetic, driven and enthusiastic candidate looking for a career opportunity to fill the position of our Food Trailer Manager!

Essential Job Functions:
• Oversee the day to day operations of the Rick’s Barbecue food trailer, including team management
• Maintain required records including food production, inventory, income/expense and meal counts while working within food trailer, corresponding with the commissary daily
• Responsible for all daily operations for the food truck, including but not limited to food production, cash handling, guest orders and interaction, quality control and proper sanitation procedures
• Research, planning and scheduling of relevant event participation, including “food truck pods”, corporate campuses, special community events, private parties, etc.
• Ensure compliance with all Health Department regulations and food safety standards
• Ensure compliance with all municipal regulations, city and state
• Direct cleaning of the truck and maintenance of the equipment inside and out
• Work directly with our marketing department regarding social media, event schedules, pictures and feedback
• Daily transportation of trailer per Dodge 3500 to and from commissary to setup location and back at the end of each day
• Stock and maintain inventory within trailer each day before leaving
• Return unused food items to designated holding areas at the end of each day


Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible for other duties as directed by Director of Operations regarding operations at other locations during down time


Requirements:
• One year of food truck experience preferred, 2 years manager experience within the restaurant industry
• Valid Drivers’ License plus 2 years of clean driving record
• Ability to drive and park successfully a dually pickup truck pulling 35-ft bumper- pull trailer in tow
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in extreme heat or cold
• Flexible decision making skills, critical thinking skills, and a positive attitude
• Strong operational, organization and administrative skills
• 45 plus hours each week
• Serv-Safe Managers Food Safety Certification (can be acquired post- employment)

Job Type: Full-Time


Salary: $38,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year


Experience:
• Food Truck: 1 year (Preferred)
