Job Summary
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for performing highly diversified duties for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, servicing, and maintaining restaurant facility, and warehouse equipment as well as potentially managing and directing future maintenance staff or third party maintenance vendors in a cost effective, safe, and efficient manner through preventive maintenance, routine maintenance, material purchases and insuring the continual maintenance of all facilities, equipment, grounds, and company vehicles takes place timely and in a manner which promotes optimal functionality, optimal safety, and is aesthetically pleasing to our customers and staff.

Essential Job Functions:
• Executes a Preventive Maintenance program effectively
• Assists restaurant/store management with Health Department compliance requests
• Reports equipment abuse or misuse to Corporate Management
• Responds to maintenance emergencies in a timely manner
• Documents all work performed and closes out all activities upon completion
• Performs routine maintenance on building, equipment, and grounds and oversees scheduled maintenance and/or repairs on company vehicles
• Ensures invoices are reported to the Accounts Payable department in a timely manner
• Keeps abreast of technological changes which affect the maintenance program
• Assists the Directors of Operations with product implementations which require facility upgrades
• Utilizes a Maintenance Log and Maintenance Work Order Forms as tools to track repair requests
• Follows Company safety and security procedures; OSHA certification preferred
• Maintains proper inventory, use, storage, and security of Company equipment and tools
• Maintains a professional appearance and follows established safety standards
• Consistently presents a professional image, both in personal appearance, conduct with company employees and customers, and condition of company equipment
• Plans schedule according to company guidelines
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Direction, oversight of any part time maintenance staff or third party maintenance vendors on site
• Maintain regular and required attendance

• Must be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision, and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner
• Must possess personal integrity and values in time keeping records and honesty and comply with company policy and procedures in reporting of such timekeeping
• Must possess strong organizational skills and follow through capabilities

Work Environment:
• This is currently a full-time, exempt, salaried position requiring a minimum of 43 hours per week. There is potential for growth in the company with this position
• This position requires the Maintenance Director to be available as necessary on weekends and holidays to attend to any maintenance emergencies that may arise
• Travel is primarily during normal business hours and requires maintenance calls to be made in Tennessee and Alabama using the company Maintenance truck and tools provided by the company
• This position is very active and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching,and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move items over 50 pounds

Supervisory Responsibility::
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities at present, but may change with growth of the company, addition of part time staff, or the requirements of the position.

Job Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two years’ experience in maintenance related fields
• Mechanical and electronic aptitude
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, gas operated equipment, electrical systems, refrigeration and a variety of cooking equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and building cosmetics
• Ability to troubleshoot problem equipment
• Strong accuracy and detail oriented with all paperwork
• Customer relations, interpersonal relationships, team relations and service oriented
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Great oral and written communication skills
• OSHA certification is a plus
